Our small but mighty boardroom is the gift that keeps on giving. Think@ was ‘highly commended’ in 2015 and 2017’s CHS awards, and we won 2016’s CHS Awards category for best boardroom small meeting room.

A little bit of history…

During the design stage of our boardroom, we reached out to our end users to find out what they really wanted in a boardroom. The feedback was intriguing, with many in the health care sector saying they would like a space to use as a crisis room and strike action room where cross site communication is key. Others wanted a fit for purpose boardroom – a place where you are happy to be spending the full day there, with a light and spacious atmosphere that boosts strategic thinking. We know that no-one likes to be cooped up in a space with no windows and fluorescent lighting for hours on end. With this in mind, design was underway…

When designing the pallet for this room we knew exactly the look to go for, opulent purple walls, sophisticated walnut furnishings and plush leather board chairs. We wanted delegates to feel at home in a boardroom that’s not only functional, but stylish and comfortable too.

Keeping up with technology

The most exciting part of this space is the technology. Who doesn’t want a 75” Plasma TV with split screen functionality, allowing the room to see multiple feeds, such as your laptop, presentation functionality and a view of your virtual call to multiple sites across the UK and globe. Plus, a feed to Freesat news channels for those all-important updates.

Fully functional for hybrid and virtual board sessions our Think@ space is the epitome of planning and strategic sessions made easy.

Aiming to move away from wires and restrictive presenting in 2017, we opted to upgrade to Apple TV and wireless presenting which in our eyes are a must. This allows our clients to pop in a unique code to any web browser on any internet-enabled device to present from anywhere within the room. This responsive technology is especially useful when you have multiple presentations going on through-out the day.

So how can Think@ be used?

Board meetings, small workshops and training sessions are at the heart of Think’s purpose, with clients coming back time and time again not only for the fab space but for the five-star customer service they receive whilst here.

Private Dining: An intimate space to extend board meetings to a more informal dining setting where your team can enjoy city views over a three-course meal whilst reflecting on the day’s business.

Annual General Meetings: Due to its perfect size for 50 delegates in a theatre layout, AGMs are great for this space. We can also arrange multi-site link ups with members who are located elsewhere around the globe.

Think@ has had its fair share of random and wonderful uses too; a client once turned it into a traditional pub for a ‘pub quiz’ style breakout. We’ve also had a market research space, a chill out zone with sofas and peaceful background music, space for delegates who need to breastfeed or express, a kid’s area with toys and CBeebies on the 75” Plasma and my personal favourite; a place to watch the football during the world cup.
