Hybrid events | Horizon Leeds | award-winning event space in central Leeds

Hybrid events

In-person meetings, conferences and events have come back with a bang, yet, we understand that for some delegates attending in-person events can still be challenging.

With inclusion top of the list for all our events, we want to ensure that everyone can access your meeting, networking or conference. With our expertise, hybrid doesn’t mean difficult. Technology is a big passion of ours and our hybrid events are something our whole team love to produce and manage.

What is the difference between the broadcast studio and hybrid events?

Our permanent broadcast studio gives our clients the opportunity to engage with their delegates virtually. However, with only space for up to four in-studio presenters, it can’t accommodate in-person events.

With our hybrid packages you can have up to 200 delegates in-person across our venue, plus, unlimited virtual delegates taking part too.

What do I need to consider when organising a hybrid event?

The first question we ask is, “What do you want to achieve from your hybrid event?” Are you planning on having some virtual presenters? If so, will you want them to be able to see and fully communicate with the in-person audience, or do you just want to stream the venue content to delegates?

The second question is around which platform to use, whether that be Zoom, Teams or Google Hangouts. Are you perhaps looking for something a little more advanced? AirMeet is our preferred platform of choice, but we are also more than happy to work with you on your preferred platform.

We find it best to run through a quick questionnaire with you on a call, to ensure we understand exactly what you are trying to achieve and therefore can provide you with the best package. Most of the time clients’ requests fit in to one of the three packages below, however, we do offer more bespoke packages and can price these on demand.

Here are some handy tips for preparing for your hybrid event.

Our passion for high quality audio visual and new technology is one of the main reasons we exist.

The idea behind Horizon Leeds came from the frustration of not being able to find venues with great quality audio visual (AV) equipment and facilities to fulfil a growing need for technology led events.

Now, 5 years on, we have won numerous awards for our onsite AV and here’s why:

  • Screens in every room – some with dual or touch screen capabilities.
  • Integrated speakers with an array of different microphones – ever heard of a catch box mic?
  • Wireless presenter technology meaning you can present via your phone, tablet or laptop.
  • Video conference facilities to ensure that no delegates miss your event.
  • Up-lighters to give your event that extra wow factor.
  • iPads including interactive augmented reality to help bring your products to life.
  • Interactive poll technology to ensure your delegates are fully engaged.
